6am - Servadeal takes serious effect after 12 hours, contractions intensifies on a pain scale 8 of 10 from a previous 2 of 10.6:30 - Ivy takes a quik shower and prepares herself to be bedridden
7am - Nurse and anastegiologiest comes in to prep her for induction while telling jokes
7:30 - crouched over, chin to chest, and got stuck by the epidural needle - couldn't look but it looked freak'n long
8am - numbness kicks in and cathader goes in - Dr Sigman says shes only dialated to 1.5cm
8:30 - She can no longer feels her legs or the contractions...everything is heavenly for her.
9am - 12pm - getting sleep around the frequent check ups and babies heart-beat monitor in the background
12:30 - dilated to 2cm by Dr Sigman...contractions are coming every 2mins at the intensity of 64-65 / baby's heart-beating at 142 - 155 / Moms at 88 over 47....its gonna be a long day
1pm - Ivy goes on O2 because baby Reiken's heartrate starts to decelerates after each contraction. And the dosage of pitocin goes down to slow down the contractions1:10 - Reiken likes O2 and stabilizes - moms knocked out again
2:30 - The nurse sees the pitocin is causing stress to Reiken and informs us that they may have to perform a C-section for the safety and health of the baby.
3:30 - Dr Sigman checks for dialation which is still at 2cm and confirms that the C-section will be the method of delivery and prepares us for the procedure.
3:30 - 4:40 - We pray for Ivy and Reiken's safety and pray that if I hit the ground...it will be gently. At this point, shes very very drossy from the medication and falling in and out of sleep. I packed everything we brought to bring to the new room. The nurses come in and wheel her into the OR. As im left in the room to put on scrubs, my minds going crazy can't believing whats about to happen.4:45 - I get escorted into the OR by one of the nurses.
