May & June 2011

hello blogging world! i know, i know, its long overdue, but i've gotten some heat for not updating our blog as religiously for baby #2 as we did for RMD. Sooo... guess i'll just start up again with the latest happenings of the last 2 months!

So yes, baby #2 is Tatum, who will be 2 months old on the 29th! pix from his first 2 weeks on our photography blog here. I'll post stats once we have them later this week but so far, he's at least 12 lbs and 22 inches long. although i think he's already grown a bit more.

big bro RMD also just got his 3 year checkup last week (yes, previous pediatrician "overlooked" that - needless to say, we decided to switch pedi's now - yeah, don't cross us. haha). so he's finally surpassed the 0-5% in height ... and now in the whopping 6% in height. hehe. still got a big head tho.

k, instead of rambling on, i'll be recapping in pix from the last 2 months...

this was beginning of may; 2nd day we were home from the hospital. yes, its the epitome of chaos. i shake my head at this picture everytime i see it. the room looks a tad better now... altho kids still look like this more often then i'd like.
















mother's day - a pretty flower, a beautiful card and two happy and healthy boys. best mother's day yet. so blessed to have my boys - all 3 of them =)!

and this is nurse amy, our doctor's nurse, and RMD's first crush! yes, you read right. he adores her. he gets excited when we tell him we're gonna get to see her and blushes when she talks to him. mommy can't believe its starting so early and daddy's just glad lil guy has good taste.



















kids got to go see the life-size cars 2 tour w/buddies nate & sydney. unfortunately, promoters of this event didn't really consider that kids are involved and we didn't want to stand in line for hours in the sweltering heat, so just sneaked a peak with a few pix. good thing rmd was satisfied with at least getting to see them in person. next up - the movie! (once its not so crowded anyways!)

1st Snow Day 2011!

we got our first snow day of 2011! i think it was a good 3-4 inches of it, and there's still some left but not sure we'll go frolicking again but we'll see how bored we are this afternoon..

we spent the morning visiting the rents and headed straight back to plano cause news reports said it was actually sticking at home. rmd was taking a nice little nap but as soon as he got home, woke up and was like "its knowing! can i play? can i make snowball?" haha, so dressed him up and off we went!

we had no choice but to buy these boots last year on the slopes at northstar. he only wore it for a few hours, and it has just been sitting at home collecting dust. finally getting to use them again... good thing he hadn't grown out of them yet!

hot chocolate with whip cream & chocolate drizzle. specially requested after a snowball "fight", i mean "toss". we went out again later that night but it was too cold for pix.. but just perfect for a full-on snowball fight.. of which i'm sure we all ate our share of snow.

the holidays!

happy new year everyone!!

we didn't really make any new years resolutions this year, and definitely not to update the blog more often. although we'll try but why set ourselves up for failure?! haha so all we can do is try harder, but no promises.

so anywho, hope everyone had a fabulous holiday! we at the DO household had a busy and hectic month but full of laughter and love so it was all good!

oh, so first news for those who don't already know, we are expecting and currently at 24wks! and yes, team BLUE again so now... just trying to think of a name!

we then started the december month with daddy's bday - he forgets his own bday so won't bother to say how old, but will just post a picture of rmd singing him his bday song!

















then christmas finally came! this year, we even put up a christmas tree for the first time! rmd finally got the whole concept of christmas - santa, toys, and being on the naughty vs. nice list! haha, of course mommy used it to my full advantage but even better, it was so fun to see his eyes widen and lighten up every time santa and his toy list were mentioned.

he started off getting to meet up with santa himself. he was shy at first, but at least didn't cry... he then started to tell santa what he wanted and the only question he had left for us after his meeting was... "why santa not give me bullseye?" haha... patience my dear... patience...




















we were able to have a friends christmas exchange and got to round up all of rmd's friends that got to come by... kids are all growing up so fast...

we got to spend the rest of the day with the extended family, where rmd got even more loot! needless to say, i think he had a great christmas! so much so, he doesn't want to take down the christmas tree.. EVER!

waiting on #2

so, this is probably long overdue, but for those who don't already know, we are expecting #2! we're currently at 17 weeks, and mommy is feeling much better than the daily dose of nausea we had to deal with from wk 4 - wk 14! this one has been a doozy so far for sure.



it's also that time of year again so we put up a christmas tree for the first time ever in 4 years! rmd now gets the concept of christmas, and santa delivering toys, and then having to be good in order to get the toys, etc... so mommy's gonna try and milk it for all it's worth. muahahaha! just kidding, i'm not that evil, but it is pretty amusing seeing how excited he gets when a christmas song comes on, seeing christmas decorations or when he's dreaming about the list of toys he thinks santa has on hold for him.

tree's lacking a few decorations right now, but at least we've got one. rmd got to hang the first ornament, and also responsible for the bunch that are bunched together as of right now too.




















so it's tuesday and we are looking forward to eating non-stop for thanksgiving! but even more exciting, we get to find out next week what sex baby #2 will be... so stay tuned!

apparently, it seems to be year of the boy, but we still have a 50% chance we're the odd ones out... and if we do have another boy, at least we'll know what a potential little girl might look like!

my life flashed forward about 20 years as I was imagining myself walking into his future place... to the same kind of mess! ahhhh! (note to self - get him used to washing his own dishes at an early age.. along with learning to cook rice by the time he's out of elementary school. at least he knows that i'd make him clean it up himself right?. haha.)

only 2 but i can't help but think he's still growing up WAY too fast.
