zoo crawl

we just got back from htown and had such a great time! we got to meet baby ethan (co stacy & chu tomas' new baby boy), then hang out with all the aunties and uncles (from dallas too), co su even came down from chi-town, and then.. even got to visit co van & chu vinnie & all their little doggies too! only bad thing was that the weekend was too short ... so hopefully, we'll get to do it again soon!

welcome baby ethan! u are one of the cutest things ever!

while we were down there, we also got to go to the zoo and check out a few of the animals. unfortunately, it was raining on and off the whole time we were there, so we couldn't venture off too much but one day, we'll have to come back and spend the whole day there!

rmd's first time to see the elephants! i know, doesn't look very excited but the face may be cause of the smell... it was a warm, humid day...
i'll leave it at that.

lovin the huge aquarium with all the fishees

the weird little lizard/gecko/animal animal...

and then there's the zoo crawl! there were lots of piranhas and a little tube... what else to do except crawl through it! mommy & daddy were worried that he would be scared in here but he loved it! notice how he stops mid-way to flash a smile at the crowds lookin on ... and then a few seconds later stops the kid behind him dead in his tracks with his ninja-like reflexes.. hehe

he loved it so much that he had to go again! (and again, and again...)

oklahoma city

this past weekend, mommy had to leave a slightly feverish rmd at home with daddy so that we can head up to okc. we went to visit a friend who has her own event & floral design company called little surprises & oh so blush and got to see the ins & outs of her first spring wedding. mommy was quite sad and missing the boys since this was her first overnight stay EVER away from rmd. needless to say, it was quite rough on rmd and moreso on mommy, especially back at home. rmd was not too happy so gave mommy the cold shoulder, mad-dawg glare, tears & all for a couple of hours **sniff sniff** before finally giving in and letting mommy even hold him! good thing biz trips aren't a regular thing!

so anyhow, here are some pix from the wedding. maybe one of these days, we might even get serious about having a biz of our own... in the meantime, if anyone needs wedding flowers in the dfw area... don't hesitate to call and keep posted for happenings to come =)

the studio...

mommy actually made this one all by her lonely!
took double the time as everyone else...
but you know... better late than never!

the church piece that mo-chauie whipped together!

one of the four different pieces at the reception...

the second piece with pilsners, candles, water, and all & then the third towering piece in the background

and the cakes! ok, we didnt' make these but so cute..

now doesn't all this make the married folks out there want to do it all over again?? hehe, yeah, i was just kidding...

things from daycare

ok, mommy forgot to blog about rmd's first easter eggs, compliments of his first daycare party. rmd actually helped to dye the little green and yellow one!

and then this evening, this is what mommy found as she was prepping his snack...

easter weekend

hopefully everyone had a great easter weekend! we got to spend lots of time with family, friends and fillin up on yummy crawfish - that could give boiling crab a run for its money (although we still love it so) so no complaints here!

seeing how he missed santa this past christmas, mommy was determined to not miss the rabbit too so rmd got to meet his first easter bunny! lots of separation anxiety since daycare so there were definitely some frightened tears but here's what we got...

it got better tho... once rmd was a safe distance away...

checking out the perimeters...
and making sure mommy was still around...

turned out to be a fun afternoon!

then on saturday, daddy had to work on the lawn so mommy took rmd to play in the bluebonnet fields. they were so pretty and honestly, this was the first time for mommy as well! yes, we have all been tempted to stop on the side of the highway and sit amongst the smashed fields before but something always stopped us... luckily we found some off the beaten path... and out of the smog of the highway traffic.. thanks to co vicky and co quyen for coming out. rmd had a good ol' time ... heehee... especially gettin to eat all their cap'n crunch at yogurtland afterwards!

hope everyone has a fabulous week!
