stay at home mom

as some of you may already know, mommy is now officially a stay at home mom since last month. didn't realize it, but its exactly one month to the day today. happy anniversary?! haha, its actually really nice right now as work was getting very stressful & of course i get to spend my days with our little guy.

he does go a little stir crazy sometimes and hesitant to take him out to play, cause now when playtime is over, the fun for mommy usually begins! yup, the crescendo of loud screams of "NO, NOOOO MOMMMY, NOOOO!!" followed by high-pitch cries that get louder and louder as we get closer to the exit doors. and then the fight as mommy tries to get him back into his carseat for the ride home. so mommy just has to find new ways to amuse him in the house! good thing he doesn't go too stir crazy (at least for the most part).

last week, and then last night, daddy bought home more fishees. as you may or may not know, rmd has a very small fish tank. it started off with 2 ... and now, we have bout 30 fishees. oh well, happy for the distraction... who cares if the fish have no room to swim. hehe. will have to go count later - maybe next time when pictures of the tank are posted.

rmd getting to play with set #2 (new set #3 pix coming soon)...

poor frightened fishees... even tho he was trying to be gentle..

we also got to go to collin's fall festival at willowbend learning center. they had a petting zoo, a bounce house that rmd got trampled in after 10 seconds, food, games, prizes & a choo-choo train! rmd was a little distracted at first but was fine after he saw his buddy "daw-daw" (sorry collin, he regressed!).

he loved the bunnies!

and then we got on the choo choo train. (singin "he gotta ticket to rye-aye...")

he was ok ... until it started moving.

yup there were tears. he looked so sad with all the waterworks but i'll just leave you guys with a pleasant pic of the lil guy instead!

the state fair

its that time of year again when the weather starts getting cooler and for some reason, we here in texas, start getting strong urges for turkey legs, roasted corn and all the fried foods we can scarf down - thank goodness for the fair!

this year, rmd got his first taste of all the goodness - roasted corn, nachos, corn dogs, fried peaches and cream, and fried butter! (yup, just when you thought you couldn't make something more unhealthy than it already was... hmmm, wouldn't be surprised if they have fried oil or something like that next year!) so the new stuff was ok for the most part, but mommy didn't get her fried oreos this year so we may have to make another trip before big tex leaves us!

rmd, daddy & big tex.

rmd's first carnival ride. he liked it at first... then the ride went three rounds too many and pretty much ended in tears. =(

rmd loved the ducky game - we could have stood there ALL DAY. he only picked up the "smalls" but it didn't matter cause he didn't care for the prizes anyways.

school buses makes him smile, he's totally fascinated by them & mommy can get him to stop mid-tantrum just by pointing out a bus passing by. this is the lucky one he picked out at the autoshow.

of course he had to play with it right then and there. here we are at the entrance of the auto show so of course no show for mommy this year.

and then there was the food.

fried pb&j - an oldie but still a goodie.

fried peaches & cream. it was ok - would be better if the batter wasn't so crumbly but the whip cream was good. hehe.

then there was the fried butter. there were many flavors but we only got the garlic. tasty - but definitely heart surgery wrapped in a ball.

we went over to the hands on the farm exhibit. after feeding chickens, milking cows, feeding goats & collecting their wool, planting seeds then taking the food to market, rmd got a whole "dollar" for all his hard work. so he takes his dollar and goes to the general store.

his dollar got him one of his favorite snacks. from the look on his lil face, he seemed to be pretty satisfied with his day!

froggies

rmd loves "echs" or "ribbits". so he got these little rain booties. he didn't like them at first, but then when he found out what he can do in them... he never wants to take them off!

the great pumpkin patch II

its monday and rmd is fast asleep, getting his rest from the busy weekend. we got to go "partay" for vincent mouse's bday at the pool, then to gymboree for lil ms. jolene bao's birthday! rmd got lots of goodies and still singing their b-day songs even this morning!

on saturday, we also got to go hang out with the phans, phams and a nguyen at the great pumpkin patch, ok, more like the flower mound pumpkin patch but it was still buckets o' fun - rmd got to fill up on kettle corn, pet some horses, see baby elmo, chicken little, and even a couple of super duper cute fairies!

buckets o' fun = bucket o' reiken.

showing us where elmo was hiding out.

1st hayride!

here's chicken little!

the spirit tree... spoooo-ky!

only missing his john deere shirt.

rmd loved the really friendly horses!

it was a fun morning. now, taking his shadow home with him!
