santa dhay

santa dhay. thats what rmd calls santa claus. not sure why (maybe its a "c" to "d" thing), but he got to visit the ol' fella this past week for his first ever santa dhay pictures! unfortunately, dingy photographer-ish guy wasn't really paying attention and didn't catch rmd smiling..

soupy weather

its been a chilly week since sunday and we even had our first snow of the season yesterday! unfortunately, rmd has a little bit of a runny nose, so by the time mommy got him ready to go outside, the snow had stopped and was already melting as fast as it came. oh well, texas weather for ya.

with this cold weather, we've literally had some sort of soup all week. this is the first time mommy saw rmd diggin into his soup like this. hmm, guess i'll be making hu tieu again soon =)














































the day before the snow hit, mommy took rmd out to enjoy the beautiful fall colors of our backyard. i guess jungleness actually has some benefits in its own weird way. haha.


















































of all days mommy gets rmd to sleep in - we didn't realize it was snowing the whole time. we finally woke to the end of it and although we didn't make it outside... we did get to enjoy a little bit of it within the warmth of rmd's elmo couch...














he was totally captivated by it... don't worry rmd... mommy will be ready for it next time =P

hip hip hooray!

rmd really likes watching superwhy. even moreso when 'hip hip hooray' comes on... (yup, he's even singin "huh-ray, huh-ray" towards the end of it too).

rmd & chloe

chloe got to come by on sat. night for a playdate with rmd. rmd, the social butterfly, loves visitors so was quite the happy camper showing her all his toys and playhouse.

on the playhouse, chloe loved the slide but was hesitant to use the steps at first so rmd decided to help her out. he loves to help so showed her how he climbed up and even used words of encouragement such as "di" & "move". whether or not she asked, he even lent her a hand... even if she didn't need this kind of hand... (hehe, can't wait to show him this video when he gets older - i'm so gonna be on his "list".)

pomegranates

pomegranates are yummy, filled with antioxidants and known to lower bad cholesterol. its hard to enjoy anything around rmd without him wanting to try some himself, so here he is, learning how to eat pomegranates for the first time.

he did well at first but then started chewing through the seeds. so when mommy tried to teach him not to chew through the seeds, he then started to just put them in his mouth and then would spit them out... still whole.

happy halloween weekend!

rmd woke up at 7:00 am this morning. almost 1.5hrs earlier than normal so its been a long day! but we also had a really great weekend so no complaints! ok, wasn't too successful in the trick a' treatin but thats ok, rmd just enjoyed running around in his costume.

pumpkins that mommy ran around at the last minute trying to find. got lucky. then daddy wasn't feeling well, so we didn't get a chance to carve! maybe next year...




















we got to go have lunch with mo chau & chi thuc/van last week.














mommy loves taking pix of food and these tacos weren't too shabby so made it worth it... quesadillas, mushroom, sirloin, surf & turf & dungeness crabcake tacos. fries were super yummy too!









































we then checked out some festivities around town. rmd wouldn't sit for a face painting, so he got STAMPED! instead. haha, his exact facial expression was "WTH?". but he was ok after that.














and yes, he did eventually get past the wrapper when mommy wasn't looking...

ong ngoai's 83rd bday!

today is rmd's ong ngoai's bday (mommy's dad). he's 83 this year. we ♥ him so!! happy birthday ong!!
