5 bday cakes!

this is a tad late, but mommy just wanted to take a few mins to say thank you to everyone for all of the bday wishes, fun gifts and extra pampering this year... oh and to top it off, 5 bday cakes! from cheesecake - to fruitcake - to red velvet - to mocha - to chocolate liqueur.... mommy got to have every delishush flavor out there, mmmm mmmmm mmmmmm! yup, rmd got to savor each and every single one of them as well - and he now knows the bday song pretty well to top it off! WOW, what more can a girl and her lil man ask for!! XOX

then for the crab boil, rmd helps us make the stock. he's quite the helpful lil man... mommy plans to have him cooking rice by the time he's 8.. hehe =)

destin, fl

we got to take rmd's first real vacation to destin this past weekend. ok, mommy had to work a few hours but at least we were all "officially on vacation". it was a much needed break.

rmd got to hang out with his buddies joshua, hunter and dominic - who is now designated honorary big bro. rmd had such a good time! destin was hot but the water was oh so nice - there were a few tiny jellyfish here and there but the sting wasn't so bad. besides the jellyfish and the rude TPT lady at the beach taking our umbrella right from under us - it wasn't too bad at all. there was a lot of hanging out at the beach, then the pool, eating, sleeping & then more eating... then repeat everyday after that... it was a great time! the beach is as pretty as everyone said - definitely the whitest & finest sand we've seen... just like sugah!

today, when mommy asked rmd if he missed the beach... he just looked up with his puppy dog eyes and nodded his head up and down "yes"... *sigh* ... ok, mommy is convinced... we will have to go back one day soon!

we flew into new orleans so our first stop was of course cafe du monde... beignets and lots of powdered sugar...

finally in destin, we headed to the beach for some fun...

ouchie report

yup, we got another one! yesterday mommy came to daycare and found a huge noggin on the head of a still happy & playful rmd. the incident had just occured about an hour before... he was climbing on the step ladder while ms. marsha was preoccupied with diaper change duties for another lil person. she turned around and just couldn't reach him in time as he slipped on the second step and fell head forward... ouchie!

this was later in the night... after mommy went at the "menthos"

this week rmd is movin on up out of "baby II" class into the toddler class! mommy and rmd got to meet the new teachers last week and everyone thinks he'll do just fine.. he's taking a few of his lil peeps with him ... here they are, one last time together as a class in their g-ride...
