the great pumpkin patch

inspired by all the beautiful pix everyone's been taking and all the baby contests lately, mommy decided it was time to brush off the dusty ol' cam and take some pix!

here are some flowers for one of the gazillion boutonnieres mommy had to make for a wedding mo chau was doing flowers for.













then we got to go with chu binh, co bea & joshua out to the arboretum to see the great pumkin patch...all these pumpkins and reiken was more fascinated by the hay!

we also got to visit chu jerry, co sylvia & reiken's new friend, jolene - welcome to the world!! reiken just wanted to make sure everything was comfy for jolene...

we also just wanted to take a few minutes to remember our chu robert on his birthday... he would have turned 30 today.

reiken got to celebrate vincent's bday on sunday and got to hang out with some old pals and then got to meet some new ones as well! happy birthday vincent!! thanks for the fun afternoon & the cute toys - we had a blast!

the weekend of festivals!

this past weekend, we got to go to oktoberfest in addison and then the plano balloon festival... well of course in plano!

reiken got to share a beer with daddy.. he almost didn't give it back..















we then got to meet uncle johnny & aunt charity's sister & bro n'law, alicia & shawn.. they are expecting and reiken just wanted to show his future cousin some luv!

and then when they came back for the balloon glow















we ended the night getting to watch reiken's very first fireworks show!

went to south beach for the afternoon - bienvenido a miami!















while there, we stopped to have a nice snack at the news cafe.. prosciutto and cheeze....yummy!





















at first, reiken wasn't lovin the beach too much so he just hung out in the tent...

we got to go to the flamingo gardens to see the animals and some fruit trees..

reiken got to take home his own souvenir - his top front tooth finally came in! here he is passing the time with daddy at the airport... look closely and you might get a glimpse of the toof... that makes 5!

mommy had to go for training so mommy & daddy decided take a mini vacay to ft. lauderdale for the weekend.

austin, houston, and the sock...

last weekend, we headed down to houston for chu andy's wedding with co quyen -- but not without a pit stop in austin to visit chi tram and have a couple of snacks here and there..

but we didn't leave w/o first gettin reiken's hair did...

we then met up with co quyen, christine and rolo for a crepe... here's the fruit one...




















and the yummy smoked salmon one that quickly became mommy's lunch...
















then off to houston where we ate, and ate, and ate, then went to chu andy & co kim's wedding... here are party favors from the night...

oh, almost forgot about the sock... reiken's been scratchin the heezy out of his once little eczema spot next to his ear... so much that its gotten pretty raw and keeps getting worse and worse... so for a couple of days, he had to suffer with the sock... oh, the crazy little sock...
